In the future, solo "take 20" strategies such as your linear search will set off every trap in the Layer. I've also decided to add a time limit on how long one may play Abyss solo before losing automatically.
On this layer, however, the traps have already been bypassed.

paper vestibule, it crumbles away. Bats stream out from behind the compartment and turn the
dynamo. Energy flows fully to the
Descent Pore Array, which opens. You slide through to the Layer beyond.
