A campaign world is a setting for a tabletop roleplaying game. It is a type of Facet. In the Diamond Pantheon, the definition is expanded to include settings of novels or other stories.

A campaign world is like a universe unto itself. It's defined by its genre, laws of physics, inhabitants and shape, or simply who is running it.

Published modules are a campaign world, but each Game Master who runs one is creating a new campaign world Facet with his or her own expression of that module.
