The word "deity" is a broad term for any supernatural being of high divine power.

It could include demons, devils, perhaps angels, demigods, demiurges, creator gods, trickster gods, metagods, anything like that. In the setting of the Diamond Pantheon, it includes even deities who do not take an interest in humans, such as the deities of the | Lovecraft Mythos.
