The Excelsior Labyrinth is comprised of great plates of raw Diamond thrust out of various points of existence and converging here. Hidden within the sharp twists and turns of the Labyrinth are dozens of monsters that the deities may use in a game to stitch the universe back together.

It is the home of the Month of Meddle.

It is named after the Excelsior Diamond, and the name means "to rise above."

There are several biomes within the twists and turns of the Labyrinth, made up of random spewed up parts from the entire Diamond of Existence:

  • The Bay of Scarabs and the Bamboo Marsh
  • The Drifting Jungle
  • The Heights and the Convoluted Kingdom
  • The Mines of Larceny and the Rippling Chasm
  • The Maruader's Plains, the Flecked Desert, and the Moonshine Tundra

As the Month of Meddle begins, the Abrominae has been imprisoned inside the Diamond of Existence. Its struggles crack and shiver the Diamond, causing individual Facets to slide out of alignment. Many of them surface within the Immortal Facets, creating the Labyrinth.

By sending elements from one Facet into another, connected by Frosty Thread, the Steep Norns and the Lady surmise that the universe can be "sewn" back together.
